Up to what age does this policy cover?

Insured’s age of coverage under this policy is up to 65 years.

How many family members can be covered in a family package?

ViaCare family packages include the insured, spouse and up to 4 children aged between 6 months to 18 years.

How do I pay for my policy?

The payment is done upfront either with a credit card or by paying cash on delivery.

What is the stay limit for multiple trip packages?

Maximum stay limit for multiple trip packages is 92 days. This applies even for the yearly policies.

What medical expenses are covered in case of an emergency?

Company shall pay medical, pharmaceutical, hospitalization as well as the ambulance expenses from the place of the accident to the nearest medical center in case of any emergency.

How do I renew my annual ViaCare policy?

This policy can be renewed at the end of the year through our website.

What company will pay in case of delayed baggage?

We will pay for emergency replacement of clothing, medication and toiletries if the baggage is temporarily lost in transit during the outward journey and not returned to you within 12 hours provided a written consent is sent to us by the airline company.

In case of delayed departure what would the company pay?

If you are delayed for at least 8 hours from the scheduled time of departure due to strike, industrial action, adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown or technical fault, we will pay upto the limits mentioned in the schedule.

Can I buy domestic travel insurance from Jubilee General?

Yes, we do have a domestic travel plan that covers you if you are traveling domestically by air. The plan offers coverage for up to 30 days of your travel and has a wide range of covers to offer.

What are the major risks covered under a domestic travel policy?

What is ParentsCare Insurance/ who is eligible to purchase?

For the first time in Pakistan, Jubilee General Insurance has introduced “ParentsCare” Insurance, which is one of its kind health insurance plan for people who at the time of purchase, fall within the age bracket of 45-65 years (once covered, policy can be renewed yearly tillage 70). It can be bought for oneself, one’s spouse, parents and parents-in-law.

What does ParentsCare Insurance cover?

ParentsCare Insurance offers the following coverage:

1. HospitalizationCovers the insured person for in-patient hospitalization expense including:

  • Room rent
  • ICU charges
  • Day care surgeries
  • Hospital and surgical expenses
  • Physician’s and surgeon’s visit fee

What is the time duration of ParentsCare Insurance cover?

Jubilee General HealthCare plans offer you coverage for 1 year from the date of issue.

I have diabetes, can I still purchase the ParentsCare policy?

Any condition one has prior to purchase of the policy such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease etc. are known as ‘pre-existing conditions’ and any treatment which is because of the pre-existing condition(s)* is only partially covered under the policy— starting from 10% of the limit in the first year and then going up at every consecutive renewal till it reaches 50% of the limit— as per the chart below.

  • 1st year of cover 10% of the annual limit
  • 2nd year of cover 20% of the annual limit
  • 3rd year of cover 30% of the annual limit
  • 4th year onwards 50% of the annual limit

*Pre-existing Conditionsmeans as any injury, illness, condition or symptom:

  • for which treatment, or medication, or advice, or diagnosis has been sought or received or was foreseeable prior to the Issue Date of this Policy for the Life Assured, or
  • which originated or was known by the Policy Owner or the Life Assured to exist prior to the Issue Date of this Policy, whether or not treatment, or medication, or advice or diagnosis was sought or received.

Is there a waiting period that triggers when I buy ParentsCare Insurance cover?

Yes, a waiting period of 60 days will apply for the coverage from the date of issue of the policy. This, however, is not applicable in case of renewals or accidental cover claims.

What are the major exclusions of the plan?

The following are the major exclusions of this product:

  • Benefits will not be available for Pre-existing Conditions* beyond the extent mentioned in the schedule of benefits.
  • Treatment from non-panel hospitals
  • Will not cover any expenses occurring during the first 60 days of the inception of policy, except from accidental injuries. This waiting period does not apply for subsequent renewals without a break.
  • Cosmetic, aesthetic and related treatment
  • Congenital anomalies beyond the extent mentioned in the schedule of benefits
  • HIV-AIDS or any sexually transmitted disease
  • Any fertility/impotence/ sterilization procedure or treatment
  • Pregnancy related expenses ad complications
  • Psychiatric treatment
  • War, invasion, civil commotion
  • Cost of limbs/ prosthetics/ hearing aids / crutches /dentures

Q1. How does a “HerCare” Insurance plan operate?

Jubilee General’s HerCare Insurance provides cover for women against major female cancers, burns and paralysis. It offers you a lump sum amount upon the diagnosis of any of these without the need for the insured to produce any medical bills and tests.

Q2. What is the main coverage of “HerCare” Insurance plan?

A. The main coverage offered in HerCare Insurance is as follows:

I. Female Cancers
  • Breast Cancer
  • Fallopian Tube Cancer
  • Uterine / Cervical Cancer
  • Ovarian Cancer
  • Vaginal Cancer &
  • Carcinoma in situ (normally excluded in critical insurance plans)
II. Burns
  • Burns involving 40% or more of the body surface area
  • Second or third degree burns caused by accidental thermal, electric or chemical burn
III. Paralysis
  • -Persisting for more than 6 months from the date of diagnosis. Caused by disease/accident and certified by a physician of insured’s complete and permanent
  • Loss of functionality of both arms or both legs
  • Loss of functionality of one arm or one leg

Additional Benefit: Congenital Disability Benefit- Sub limit (50% of sum Assured)

An amount equal to 50% of the sum assured will be payable under the plan on the birth of the child with any one or more of the Congenital Disabilities listed below and the child survives 30 days from the date of diagnosis. This benefit will be available for first two children only and will not be available if the birth of the child occurs after the proposer attains the age of 40 years

Q4. What is the entry age limit for “HerCare” Insurance?

A. Entry Age must be between 18-50 years (once covered, policy can be renewed yearly till 60th birthday).

Q5. What are the plans for this policy?

A. There are two types of plans

  • Platinum Plan with a limit of PKR 750,000/-
  • Gold Plan with a limit of PKR 500,000/-

Q6. Is there any need for medical test prior to taking this policy?

A. There is no need for any type of medical tests to avail this policy.

Q7. What is the time duration of “HerCare” Insurance cover?

A. Jubilee General HealthCare plans offer you coverage for 1 year from the date of issue.

Q8. Is there a waiting period that triggers when I buy “HerCare” Insurance cover?

A. Yes, a waiting period of 90 days will apply for the coverage from the date of issue of the policy. This, however, is not applicable in case of renewals.

Q9. What happens after the diagnosis of my critical illness?

A. The insured person needs to survive for 30 days from the date of diagnosis of critical illness for claim to be admissible.

Q11. Up to what age can my “HerCare” policy be renewed?

A. Once covered, policy can be renewed yearly till the 60th birthday of the insured

Q12. What are the major exclusions of a “HerCare” policy?

A. The major exclusions of a HerCare policy are as under:

  • Pre-Existing Conditions- Pre-existing Medical Condition means any sickness, disease or injury or any symptom related to such sickness, disease or injury which has been diagnosed, treated or is under treatment or has been known, even if so medical advice or treatment was sought, before the effective date of this insurance. No liability will be accepted by JGI for any Pre-existing Medical Condition.
  • Willful self-inflicted injury by/to the Life Assured or unreasonable failure to seek or follow medical advice.
  • Infection with Human Immuno-deficiency Virus (HIV) or variants (including Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)) or AIDS Related Complex (ARC).
  • Radiation induced burns
  • Death within 30 days from the diagnosis of the CI.
  • Willful misuse of drug.

WHAT IS SELFCARE PLAN?

Jubilee General SelfCare is Personal Accident Insurance, which protects YOU and your loved one for financial losses for unfortunate accidental death and total permanent & temporary disabilities. If the customer chooses to add Accidental Medical Expenses coverage to the Plan, all Accidental medical expenses up to assigned limit that occur as a result of an accident will also be covered as per policy.

WHAT IS PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE?

This insurance covers the insured against accidental death, temporary & total permanent disabilities. If the insured dies as a result of an accident due to risk defined in policy, coverage limit in the plan that he/she chose will directly be paid to the beneficiaries (Spouse or Blood Relatives) of the insured.

WHAT IS ACCIDENT AS PER JGI SELFCARE POLICY?

Accident means a sudden unexpected, unusual, specific event which occurs at an identifiable time and place, conveyance but shall also include exposure resulting from a mishap to an Insured who is traveling.

IS THERE ANY AGE LIMIT TO GET SELF CARE INSURANCE?

The maximum age limit for this coverage is 65 years.

HOW CAN I GET SELFCARE INSURANCE PLAN?

All you have to do to avail any insurance plan is follow the series of questions under that particular plan. We offer different types of insurance plans whose differences are based on premium or specific information. This is why our plans are custom made to cater to you. IS PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE EXPENSIVE?

No, Personal Accident is actually an inexpensive insurance product for all classes of society. You just have to pay nominal amount for this coverage and you are covered for the whole year for any kind of accident that may happen.

FOR HOW LONG I AM COVERED?

This is an annual policy and you will be covered for the whole year (12 months) from the date of inception till the expiry date for any kind accident that may happen as per company policy.

Jubilee General Insurance will appoint Government licensed surveyor who will contact you and collect all requisite documents from you.

WHAT ARE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED TO JUBILEE GENERAL INSURANCE CLAIMS DEPARTMENT IN CASE OF A CLAIM?

The insured being under the influence of, or being affected by Intoxicants or in a pregnancy/ natal related condition

The insured engaging or taking part in naval, military, air force and law enforcement service or operations.

Tracker Details:For certain vehicles tracker is mandatory to be installed in the vehicle. Suzuki Bolan, Mehran, Daihatsu Cuore and all variants of Toyota Corolla should have the tracker in them.

Will I get compensation if my car is torched during a public strike or a riot?

Yes. Riot and strike damage is covered under the policy.

Will I be indemnified in case of an accident if someone else is driving my car?

Only in the case where the drivers are identified by the insured as drivers of the vehicle are entitled to indemnity in case of loss

What are the geographical parameters to my cover?

Covered all across Pakistan

Am I covered in case of meeting an accident while driving a car not belonging to me?

Yes.

How would I be indemnified in case of loss?

Indemnity could be in the form of cash, repair or replacement depending upon the type of loss.

What do I do in case my car gets snatched or it meets an accident?

15. Echo:A test of the heart using ultrasound waves to produce a visual display, for the diagnosis or monitoring of heart disease.

16. Thallium Scan:Test that uses a radioactive substance to produce images of the heart muscle. When combined with an exercise test, the thallium scan helps determine if areas of the heart do not receive enough blood.
Angiography: Radiography of blood vessels - uses X-ray imaging to see your heart's blood vessels and how much blood is being pumped to and back from the heart.

33. CAD requiring surgery:Coronary artery disease is a narrowing or blockage of arteries and vessels that provide oxygen and nutrients to the heart.

34. Accident:This means an unexpected, unforeseen and undesirable event, especially one resulting in bodily injury.

35. Bodily Injury:This means any accidental physical bodily harm solely and directly caused by external, violent, visible and evident causes but does not include any sickness or disease.

36. Hospital:Any institution in Pakistan established for indoor care and treatment of sickness and injuries and which has been registered either as a Hospital with the local authorities and is under the supervision of a registered and qualified Medical Practitioner’ or should comply with minimum criteria as under:

  • It should have at least 30 inpatient beds
  • It should have a fully equipped operation theatre of its own, whenever surgical operations are carried out
  • It should have fully qualified nursing staff under its employment round the clock
  • A fully qualified Medical Practitioner (s) should be in-charge round the clock.
